Weekend Book Giveaway: Velocity

This week we have the ARC for a super fun sounding new book by Chris Wooding called Velocity, which is supposedly like Fast and Furious meets the Hunger Games?

From the publisher:

Cassica and Shiara are best friends. They couldn’t be more different, but their differences work to their advantage – especially when they’re drag racing. Cassica is fearless and determined, making her the perfect driver for daring, photo-finish victories. Shiara is intelligent and creative, able to build cars out of scrap and formulate daring strategies from the passenger’s seat. Now they’ve set their sights on the Widowmaker – the biggest, most anticipated, and most dangerous race of the year. The winners get a pass to a life of luxury and fame. The losers, more often than not, die in fiery explosions. And even if Cassica and Shiara survive the deadly three-day challenge… their friendship might be roadkill. This breathless reimagining of extreme sports is perfect for fans of Mad Max: Fury Road and NASCAR.

Uh, kick-butt girls who drive crazy cars? Sounds like a blast to me.

For your chance to win, tell me about three features your home made fantasy car would have (the wilder the better!)

Winner will be picked Tuesday February 14, 2017, with the assistance of Random Number Generator. Be sure to leave a name with your entry, and check back to see if you won. To win you must be a teen (6th-12th grade, or age 12-18) who uses a Sno-Isle Library.

First it would be a flying RV so that the comforts of home will always be with me. Next it will be super fast, when I want it to fast I will push a button and fire will shoot out! And last it can turn invisible because you don’t always want to be seen!

    1. The exhaust pipe would release rainbows instead of harmful pollutants.
    2. The stereo would automatically change the radio station if there’s a commercial.
    3. You never need to stop for gas- because the car runs by filtering contaminated water!
