Weekend Book Giveaway: There’s Someone Inside Your House

This week we’re giving away an Advanced Reader’s Copy of There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. It’s not out until September 26th, but you could be the first of your friends to read this new horror novel.

From the publisher: Scream meets YA in this hotly-anticipated new novel from the bestselling author of Anna and the French Kiss . One-by-one, the students of Osborne High are dying in a series of gruesome murders, each with increasing and grotesque flair. As the terror grows closer and the hunt intensifies for the killer, the dark secrets among them must finally be confronted. International bestselling author Stephanie Perkins returns with a fresh take on the classic teen slasher story that’s fun, quick-witted, and completely impossible to put down.

For your chance to win, please tell us about a phobia you had when you were younger and how you overcame that fear!

Winner will be picked on Wednesday, July 5th (because Tuesday, July 4th is a holiday and all libraries are closed!) with the assistance of Random Number Generator. Be sure to leave a name with your entry, and check back to see if you won. To win you must be a teen (6th-12th grade, or age 12-18) who uses a Sno-Isle Library.

One of my biggest fears as a kid was walking outside in the dark with no lights on! It still creeps me out today, but now I just make sure lights are on and I have my phone with the flashlight on or a real flashlight with me.

  2. Maddie says:

okay…so I haven’t really overcome this yet…but I have really big fear of spiders, honestly if they are big spiders, I will run as far away as I can get, (it’s pretty bad, I once accidentally screamed in the middle of class because there was one on desk, but that was a few years ago) so, I guess now if they are small enough, I can kill them, but otherwise I haven’t overcome the fear

  3. Charlotte says:

I was scared of monsters in the dark. I overcame that by reminding myself nothings there.

  4. Willow Rothstein says:

My fear was of open ocean because of tsunamis.
I over came this fear by going to to the open ocean quit a lot. I still don’t really like going to open ocean bb=ut I can do it without freaking out.

Congrats, Willow! You are our winner this week. Your librarian, Rob, will let you know when it arrives at your library!

  5. Madison B. says:

I’m not sure if the posts are going through or not because I submitted one on Friday?

So a fear I had as a kid was going outside in the dark it’s pretty creepy. So I make sure there are a lot of lights on outside and I have a flashlight with me either on my phone or a real one.
