Weekend Book Giveaway: The One Memory of Flora Banks

This week we’re giving away an advance reader’s copy of The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr. It’s not published until May 2nd, so you can be one of the first to to read it! The book is being described as the movie Memento meets We Were Liars and Everything, Everything.

From the publisher:

Seventeen-year-old Flora Banks has no short-term memory. Her mind resets itself several times a day, and has since the age of ten, when the tumor that was removed from Flora’s brain took with it her ability to make new memories. That is, until she kisses Drake, her best friend’s boyfriend, the night before he leaves town. Miraculously, this one memory breaks through Flora’s fractured mind, and sticks. Flora is convinced that Drake is responsible for restoring her memory and making her whole again. So, when an encouraging email from Drake suggests she meet him on the other side of the world—in Svalbard, Norway—Flora knows with certainty that this is the first step toward reclaiming her life.

But will following Drake be the key to unlocking Flora’s memory? Or will the journey reveal that nothing is quite as it seems?

Doesn’t this sound fantastic?

For your chance to win tell us about one of your favorite memories. Why is it one of your favorites?

One of my most fond memories was a safari trip with my family. We encountered multiple wild animals with various shades of beauty, including a peacock. I remember one person I was travelling with was so afraid after seeing the peacock and told the driver to speed away while the peacock strutted forward. We all protested, the driver kept the same pace and let the peacock linger next to the vehicle for a while.

I have to say one of my favorite memories, would be when I went to six flags with my younger sister, mom, and dad. I really like this because I over came a lot of fears. for example, I was pretty scared of one of the roller coasters, but I tried it anyway. it was the Batman coaster, and my dad and I went on it, not only were we two of the four people on it, we got to ride in the front, it ended up being one of my favorites.

My favorite memory was when I got to see my best friend for the first time in years. My mom and I had spent the entire day traveling and were exhausted, but hearing her and her mom scream my name in target and getting to run and hug them all in the same moment was one of the best feelings in the entire world for me.

One of my favorite memories was when we went to go visit Forks, Washington! I got to go see the home of Twilight! The best part was that I got to do it with my family. I’m very close to my family and any adventures we can take together is worth it!
