Weekend Book Giveaway – Fierce Reads – part 1

This week we are doing something special. I’m going to be the moderator for the Fierce Reads Spring Tour next month at Third Place Books, and I’m giving away some of the books in advance, so you can bring them to be signed!

This weekend we are giving away an Advanced Readers Copy of The Square Root of Summer and a hardback of Flawed.

For your chance to win The Square Root of Summer, tell me about the most eventful summer you ever had.

For a chance to win Flawed, tell me about a time you broke a rule, and what happened.

Winners will be picked Tuesday April 26, 2016, with the assistance of Random Number Generator. Be sure to leave a name with your entry, and check back to see if you won. To win you must be a teen (6th-12th grade, or age 12-18) who uses a Sno-Isle Library.

Hope to see you at the event on Tuesday May 3, 2016!

The most eventful summer I ever had was probably when I was in the sixth grade. I traveled by myself for the first time on a plane to Oregon and spent the next few weeks camping in an RV with my grandma and grandpa. We went fishing, fed deer marshmallows, set off fireworks, and had a campfire going every day.

Once when I was younger my parents told me there was a book I was not allowed to read. Of course this made me want to read it more, so I went and took the book from our home library, read it, and then placed it back where I had found it after I finished it -in just two nights. I managed to read the whole series this way. I went a year and no one had found out I read the books, until I decided to read them again. This time my parents found me reading them! They were upset and I had to fess up that this wasn’t my first time reading them! Being told I couldn’t read something just made me want to more, so of course that was the rule I would break!

The most eventful summer I ever had was probably the summer that I competed in the teen summer-long scavenger hunt that the library hosted! It was a really fun time, and I got to do a lot of fun stuff as well!

Once I died my hair a purple red color with my grandma. And of course I wasn’t suppose to do this. My mom and dad weren’t that happy. But the hair dye was only temporary so It washed out after a little bit.

The most eventful summer I had was probably last summer. I went to Europe for three weeks, Leadership camp for another, and then worked for the rest of the summer. I’m expecting this summer to be even more eventful though.

My most eventful summer I had was when my family moved from Virginia to Washington. At first, it was strange adjusting, but now I’m really glad we moved.
