Top 3 Right Now: Laura

This week we are featuring our Arlington Teen Librarian, Laura!  Many of you may know her from the awesome after-hours events she has thrown at both the Arlington and Marysville libraries.  This is a librarian who knows how to have fun!

So what are you loving these days, Laura?

We Were Liars by e. Lockhart:  The family is this book spends their summers on a private island.  I did not read this book on a private island, but I did read it during the summer, on a boat.  The setting and story could not have been more perfect for a summer weekend.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer:  I’ve always loved fairy tale retellings, but Cinderella as a Cyborg?  I almost didn’t give this book a chance…  I’m so glad I did because the whole series is now one of my favorites!

Just One Day by Gayle Forman:  Allyson has one day in Paris with a boy she just met that morning.  This book reminded me how wonderful it can be to get to know a new city and explore more than the tourist traps.”

Bonus book for those of you who love this last one and it’s sequel, Just One Year…Sno-Isle has a special follow up to the two, only in eBook format!  Put a hold on Just One Night today to find out what happened next!

If you would like to be featured on our T3RN, email and include:

  • The titles of the three books that teens would enjoy (they can be published for any age group).
  • One or two sentences describing what it is about each book that has you in its grip right now.
  • A photo of yourself.  If you are shy you can use an avatar, but you can also have a lot of fun with this.  We like wacky!

Next week:  maybe you?
