Top 3 Right Now: Graphic Novel Crossovers

This week, we’re featuring a post by Rickey, the teen services guru at our Granite Falls community library!

“Are you at the end of your favorite TV show, movie, or book series, but you can’t wait for the next installment? Then look no further! Sno-Isle Libraries has a wide selection of Graphic Novel Crossovers, which also includes comics and manga. Graphic Novel Crossovers are a great way to continue enjoying your favorite series and universes, and in a whole new way!

Here are three of my favorite Graphic Novel Crossovers, which originally began as TV shows, books, and movies:

Star Wars: Darth Vader, Vol. 1 by Kieron Gillen
This exciting series follows the infamous Sith Lord, Darth Vader, on several adventures taking place between Episodes III—IV. If you are anything like me—and Vader is your favorite character from the Star Wars Universe—then this series is perfect for you. Prepare to experience the full power of the Dark Side!

Poe: Stories and Poems: A Graphic Novel Adaption by Gareth Hinds
This adaption of some of Edgar Allen Poe’s most chilling tales is sure to give you the creeps! The illustrations depicting such tales as “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Pit and the Pendulum” really bring these timeless tales to life. Not to mention, this Crossover is a great way to experience classic literature in a new way!

Adventure Time, Volume 1, by Ryan North
Fans of the TV series will be right at home with this Graphic Novel Crossover. Join Finn and Jake as they set out on a new set of crazy adventures to take on the Lich in the Land of Ooo! The Graphic Novels are just as hilarious as the TV series, and was nearly impossible to put down once I began. ”

Thanks for the suggestions, Rickey!

What do you think, readers, are there other graphic novel crossovers you think should be on this list?

Next week, we’ll be talking about the best New Wave albums that you can check out or stream through your library.  If you’re throwing an 80s party, be sure you check out the upcoming list for great tune suggestions!

Or, if you’d like to submit your own list of the top 3 New Wave albums, send your list to along with a sentence or two about why you think those albums are the best.
