Top 3 Right Now: Angela

This week’s guest reader is Angela from the Mountlake Terrace Library, who can be seen above cosplaying as Akatsuki from Log Horizon at this year’s SakuraCon!  (How awesome is that?)

Angela, what are your Top 3 Right Now?

“Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman
An up-and-coming politician, the lies he tells a nation, and his adopted niece tries to find out what the truth really is. Great historical read for fans of Elizabeth Wein’s Code Name Verity and Rose Under Fire!

The Complete Elfquest vol. 1 by Wendy and Richard Pini
These elves are definitely not Tolkien’s elves – they’re small, they ride wolves, and they need to find a place to call home. This series is great for manga readers who want to try something new.

Gabi, A Girl In Pieces by Isabel Quintero
Gabi’s in her senior year of high school, and writes poetry to deal with everything going on around her. This is written journal-style, so it’s easy to pick up if you have a few spare moments.”

Thanks Angela…this is a great assortment!  Elf Quest was probably the first graphic novel series I read, and Gabi is on my bedside pile 😀

If you would like to be featured on our T3RN, email and include:

  • The titles of the three books that teens would enjoy (they can be published for any age group).
  • One or two sentences describing what it is about each book that has you in its grip right now.
  • A photo of yourself.  If you are shy you can use an avatar, but you can also have a lot of fun with this.  We like wacky!

Next week: author Kelly Jones!
