Top 3 Right Now: Angela from Mountlake Terrace

This week we are featuring Angela, our Mountlake Terrace Teen Librarian.

Check out Angela’s sweet cosplay of Akatasuki from the Log Horizon novels!

So, Angela, what are your Top 3 books for teens these days?

This is Really Happening by Erin Chack

“I usually don’t read essay collections, but this one by a BuzzFeed senior writer was one I had to read. This book is hilarious, and the author is extremely open and honest while accurately describing some of the things we all deal with in life. I had a really hard time putting this book down!”

Erased by Kei Sanbe

“Did you ever want the ability to turn back time and fix your mistakes? Satoru gets that when he’s sent back to the past, but he’s an 11 year old boy trying to stop a kidnapper from going after his classmates, and there’s only so much that he can do on his own. This suspenseful manga mystery will have you wanting to know who the kidnapper is, and how an 11 year old with knowledge of the future can outwit him.”

The Hundredth Queen by Emily R. King

“I just started reading this title, and I usually enjoy fantasy titles with non-European settings. I saw that this is recommended for those who liked The Selection by Kiera Cass, so if you liked that series, you might want to check this one out.”

Thank you for the most excellent suggestions, Angela!

If you would like to be featured on our T3RN, email and include:

  • The titles of the three books that teens would enjoy (they can be published for any age group).
  • One or two sentences describing what it is about each book that has you in its grip right now.
  • A photo of yourself.  We like wacky!
