Now Showing: Big Hero 6 12:00 PM – Arlington Library

School’s out early! Join us for a special showing of a popular film. When a criminal plot threatens the hi-tech metropolis of San Fransokyo, brilliant young robotics whiz Hiro Hamada leaps into action with his tech-savvy friends, and his robot companion Baymax in Disney Animation’s adaptation of the popular Marvel Comics series. Snacks and drinks provided.

Earth Day – Teen Book Swap 3:30 PM – Snohomish Library

Come celebrate Earth Day by sharing books with fellow teens. Bring a book or two to swap, we will have plenty of books to choose from and snacks will be provided.

Calling all teen writers! Looking for a supportive place to share your writing? Join the Junior Monroe Wednesday Writers and get feedback and guidance from your peers, a published author and library staff. All writers in grades 6-12 are welcome.

World Building Workshop 1:00 PM – Mukilteo Library

Are you interested in world building for your sci-fi or fantasy stories, or for better game creation? Join other creative teens (and teens at heart) as award-winning YA fantasy author Janet Lee Carey presents this fun hands-on workshop. You’ll learn how to design fictional worlds with believable natural settings and social structures, all from the ground up. And you’ll leave with handouts and tons of information to help you create your own unique worlds. While you’re here, check out the library’s print and digital resources to spark your creativity
