Library Hack: Download (and keep!) new audiobooks with SYNC

by Danielle

For several years now AudioFile Magazine has partnered with OverDrive to offer teens free audiobooks during late spring and early summer via the program SYNC. Each week (Thursdays at 4 a.m. PST) two audiobooks (one that is considered a classic and one is a newer release) are paired for your listening pleasure. Download only one or both MP3s. Once downloaded, these books will be listened through the OverDrive app and the download is yours to keep forever.

How lucky we are to be alive right now, right? I’m a voracious reader and almost exclusively read everything by downloading it to my phone.

Last year’s SYNC titles included Feed by M.T. Anderson paired with The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams and Shadowshaper by Daniel Jose Older with Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. So, what is available this year? Can the freebies this year be any better than those titles?

YES! SYNC has seriously leveled up this year with books favorite authors Robyn Schneider, Bill Konigsberg, and Bill Shakespeare.

You can check out the full list on the site, but here are the titles that are currently available this week and what will be available soon:

I can tell you firsthand that both Being Jazz and When Dimple Met Rishi  are absolutely amazing on audio. Need more audiobook recommendations? Check out this list of classics!
