Have you used technology to access library resources? Have you used the library to learn more about technology? If you are a tween (9-12), teen (13-19) or older adult (50-plus) we want to hear your story.
The Friends of the Edmonds Library are funding the “Why Today’s Modern Library is My Friend” Essay Contest this month, offering a prize for the best essay in each of the three age groups. Summarize why the modern, tech-friendly library is important to you in 500 words or less and you will be entered with a chance to win a Kindle Fire and a Book-a-Librarian session to get your new Kindle set up with library resources.
Entry forms can be picked up and essays submitted at the Edmonds Library. Or, the entries can be attached to an email sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the entrant's name, phone number, and age categorie. Entries are due by Oct. 31, and will be judged by a panel from the Friends of the Edmonds Library and the Edmonds Library Board. Entrants need not live in Edmonds.
Prizes will be awarded at the Library Tech Fair Open House at Edmonds Library on Saturday, Nov. 14.
